Celebrated Thanksgiving at Edelweiss last night with friends and family. The staff, especially Renee, Carlos, and Jose was very accommodating. I had the turkey dinner, it came with delicious carrot soup, turkey, mashed and sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots, cranberries, and gravy. My lady had duck. After dinner we were treated to pumpkin pie with whipped cream. Gabe's band entertained us during dinner. We were not rushed and had time to talk at the table. It made for a very nice evening. And had plenty of left overs for that turkey sandwich the next day.

Started with sausage sampler and pretzel Service was kind and attentive. The Oktoberfest vibe was a nice experience itself! Entrees came out in no time and were tasty. We had and recommend the Edelweiss platter and beef stroganoff.

Edelweiss during Octoberfest! Alpine Thunder was in rare form. The sauerbraten was tasty and the Edelweiss Platter is a great sampler if you can't stand to choose from the great traditional dishes on the menu. Save room for dessert. The portions are huge!

My friend recommended this place to feel for Oktoberfest vibe. I drove from Schaumburg and realized this place was packed especially for parking. The whole Bavarian vibe (with some live music) inside was really cool. I enjoyed great beers, pretzel and sausage sampler. Our service from bartending folks was really good. I would come back again for actual meal.

Such a fun place where It's Oktoberfest every day. Good, hearty authentic German food + beer + live music = a fun and unique experience. Great place for large parties. Hot pretzels, potato pancakes, schnitzel, pierogis and more. It was a very busy night but the waitstaff are experienced and able to keep up.

It's Oktoberfest! Time for good food and drinks. Edelweiss delivered! Service is most friendly, warm and entertaining. Menu has abundant options for appetizer, sides, entrees, dessert, beer and wine. Food taste great and desserts good. Atmosphere inside felt great for as German style restaurant. Tip: Don't be intimidated by the unavailability on OpenTable. Just call to see if there's tables or just show up.

It's time for OKTOBERFEST!!!! If you can't make it to Germany like I can't either , your next best stop is Edelweiss in Chicago This restaurant serves traditional German food and on the weekends there is live entertainment! Some of the live entertainment coming up for this month includes a yodeling contest and stein holding contests. The space is huge and includes an outdoor patio, which is perfect for everyone to have enough room as they raise their glasses and say PROST! What I tried: Oktoberfest Pretzel Oktoburger Edelweiss platter Schnitzel Sampler Salzberg Sunset (drink) Everyone in the restaurant was in the spirit of Oktoberfest as we all laughed and sang together........ as well as tried instruments. Ask for Josephine to be your server. She's been with the restaurant for about 40 years! Bring out the family or go to have a night at trying to win the yodeling contest and tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you!! .

When we had errands in Norridge recently, my husband suggested Edelweiss. I had no idea how much I would love it. The live music made for a fun time after running errands, and the food was fantastic. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and we were there early, so they were not too busy.
